Perhaps I was
particularly observant Saturday morning, or perhaps I was just lucky. All within an hour I saw three things I found interesting while driving. Sorry there are no pictures (not that you would want one of the second observation . . . )
First: I made a stop at the grocery store with the girls before picking up John for a picnic. After getting to the car, I noticed a car waiting for us to leave so they could have my spot. Wow, I thought, busy parking lot if they are going to wait for me to put my groceries in the trunk, put the cart away, and buckle both girls in their seats. So I look around to see how close the closest spot is. One, two, three, four. 4 Spots! And then there are several spots after that. I was sure they would give up, especially after two cars went AROUND them. They didn't, they waited me out, I'm pretty sure they could have done half their shopping if they would have parked in the 4th spot next to us initially.
Second: On my way to pick up John, I was approaching a red light, the car next to me was already stopped a bit ahead. The door opened, a man's head leaned over and proceeded to throw-up. He threw-up so much and so hard, it bounced off the pavement. I'm sure you wanted to know that. I noticed he turned off the highway as soon as possible, while spitting out the window!
Third. Not moments later, I turned down a residential street. I saw a man smoking as he strolled along the sidewalk. He stopped at a mailbox, used it as an ash-tray several times. I thought, that must be his house, at least I hoped. It wasn't, in my rear-view I noticed he keep walking . . . So if you see burn marks on your mailbox, you'll know what happened. Who does that? I thought it was odd, but being a non-smoker, perhaps I don't know the protocol.
