Summer

We thought we should move again, you know, it has been over a year.  This time we thought we'd do it up bigger and go outside the 8 mile radius we've been moving within for the last 8 years and go 1800+ miles away.  We will miss our friends and in the winter, we will miss the weather.  We are going to keep a picture of Atlanta traffic on the wall just to remind us of one thing we will not miss :).

Between packing and cleaning, we've tried to squeeze in some swimming and hanging out with the friends and family will miss not being close to.  So though it is goodbye for now, I can imagine since we seem to love the long road trips, we'll be back :).

Airshow and Handstands

We love going to the local airshow every year.  We usually die of heat, but this year it was nice.  Olympia was a little offended she couldn't go on the planes in the sky.  Anya thinks she has to do a handstand everywhere she goes, the airshow was no exception, she even taught one of the boys that came with us.  Parking lots, grocery stores, airshows, most anywhere we go she is doing handstands.  She even wears her shirts tucked in now, you know, just in case she has the urge to do a handstand. 

Last Stop: NYC

Our final stop was Brooklyn NY.  We waited out a storm at Coney Island and were glad we did because it cleared quickly and then it was nice.  We partied 2 year old style with an Olaf cake.  We drove all over the city.  We spent some time at the Natural History Museum.  John spent hours finding parking while Washington slept and the girls and I enjoyed Central Park.  We discovered NYC's speed control technique, terrible roads with potholes as numerous as the city's population :).    

New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island

Our next stop was Canada!  We spent a few days in New Brunswick. We went to a fun aquarium and spent most of the time there at the touch pool.  We had a delicious lobster dinner on the night of my birthday.  Giant lobster.  Boiled in the backyard.  Totally awesome!  I will never look at those piddly lobster at the grocery store the same again.  Or the tiny lobster tail sold on the menu for 30 bucks.  Joanne made an amazing ice cream birthday cake.  I don't know if my bday next year will even come close to being that cool! Then we took a day trip to PEI.  (And drove through a tiny section of Nova Scotia, just to say we did it.)  Anya hated that we called it PEI.  :)  We of course visited Green Gables.  PEI was beautiful.  I messed up again, I didn't take pictures of the rolling fields, but at least I got a few at Green Gables and at the beach.  

 Anyone know what fish are in the background?  Salmon :).
