Road Trip: Virginia & Maine

Two summers ago we embarked on a road trip West, the last 12 or so days we have been driving in the Northeast (northeast of us at least :).  The kids were troopers, there was a lot of sitting in a car, a lot.  There were a lot of late nights.   But they got to eat a lot of treats and watch a lot of movies.

Our first major stops of the trip were Southwest VA and several spots along the Maine coastline.  Southwest VA was absolutely beautiful!  Even driving on the freeway there was quite a treat!  And I didn't even get any pictures of the beautiful scenery.

The Maine coastline was beautiful too!  Kind of chilly for all of us southerners, but the girls crawled for hours on the rocks near the ocean.  Washington tried to eat the little rocks.
