Kitchen Nightmares

Remember this? Every now and then I remember to take a picture of our cooking disasters. This one should include a picture of Austria with waffle batter all over her body and hair, but she HATES to be dirty and it was very traumatic for her, so she got washed off immediately. She still remembers that waffles are messy and will tell you all the details of what happened.

Maybe it's the sudden change in weather that promoted all the "media" type comments from Anya.

During a P90X DVD workout, Anya: "Why does he say 'Do your best and forget the rest'?"

Anya to me: "Hey Mom, you look like Jesus." (Wow. I must be living righteously.) "You are wearing a red shirt, Jesus wears red." (I guess not . . . )

After asking Anya to do something: "Remember Sebastian (Little Mermaid) says 'Children have got to be free to lead their own lives'?"

We need to work on doing more of this kind of "media."

Costumes Revealed

This year had a family theme . . .

But the judges of the costume contest didn't see all of us together, and thought John was spaghetti and voted him "Funniest Costume." All the engineers in attendance thought he was String Theory. So next time you are a ball of yarn, you should choose a yellow/red combo and you might be able to win some prizes.
