Tornadoes

I have had some phone calls and emails inquiring about our safety given the crazy weather we have had recently. April has been a record month for severe weather and tornado watches/warnings in the U.S. Yesterday and last night tornadoes ripped through Alabama and Northwest GA leaving over a hundred people dead and many injured. It seems we have a tornado watch at least twice a week.

Fortunately for us, the only tornadoes we have had are 2 little girls running through the house hiding and re-hiding Easter eggs, hyped up on candy.

We did however, have hail larger than I have seen in my life (don't worry, our new Porsche was at the garage, all safe and covered!). Anya worries a bit now when a storm is brewing. She doesn't really like "ice" falling from the sky. (FYI, these are John's hands, not mine:).

Pyschic Readings

I saw a sign while waiting for a stoplight. It read (question marks included; and if my phone was half as cool as John's I could have taken a picture):

? Pyschic Readings ?
Can Solve All Problems
404(whatever-whatever-I don't remember, if you want the number, I can write it down next time I see it)

All problems. Not bad.

Dress Up

At the end of the day we usually have a pile of clothes. One time I started counting how many times Anya changed her clothes, but at noon the count was at 6 and then I lost track. If this hobby continues, it could get expensive . . . :) Neither John or I are known for our fashion sense and it looks like it is being passed down at least one generation.

I Spy

Look for the following items in the picture below and see if you can tell what is going on at our house this week:

1. sippy cups partially filled near their owners
2. blue bowl ready for use
3. children who fell asleep without any prompting in random places
4. not many boxes packed (and boxes unpacked that had towels, jello, medicine inside)
5. towels and rags in strategic places
6. half completed puzzles, books

Or a Girl . . .

Just to clarify, the last post may or may not have been an April Fool's Day joke. Let's just say, don't start sending blue clothing, blankets and train sets right away, wait about 4 more months.

In other news, we're moving here:

Country House

Okay, we WISH. I have a thing with sharing walls. I don't like it at all. Despite living in apartments for almost 14 years, I'm failing miserably at tolerance and patience in this area. But such are the circumstances that we have chosen. So, we have another year of sharing walls but this time we tried to mix it up a bit. Ours is the second floor of the white one by the tree--at least we are lucky to be by that one lone tree!

It's a Boy!

A couple of people correctly identified the ultrasound! The correct answer is "All my Children." Lil' John Junior is bakin' away...
