Marta Moment #16

I've been pestering John to write some of his Marta Moments. He's got some great ones he's holding out on.

So, I'll share a second-hand one. Often John calls when he is walking to the Marta (train) station. It is not uncommon for him to say "hi" to his homeless friends while we are talking. Yesterday while we were talking, a male voice in the background yells: "I got out!" John replied something like, "Oh, that's great." After over 4 years, I shouldn't be so naive to think one of John's friends got out of a test at school . . . it was one of his homeless buddies and we can all guess where his friend had been.

Talk

Anya: "Cows make milk."

Austria laughing: "No they don't, they make water."

Anya playing with Austria: "Hmm . . . let me see what time it is on my phone."

Anya singing: "The rain came down and the flowers came up . . . "

What? No Promo?

Disney World 2009: Salmon's paid only for Lindy's ticket.

Disney World 2010: Salmon's paid only for Anya's ticket.

Disney World 2011: Salmon's going to the beach instead because there is NO PROMOTION. This is the outrage of 2011.

So, we'll rely on these pictures from last month to get us through the year.

Anya watching Austria and John going on Dumbo (9:30am). If you remember, 2009 instilled a serious fear of Dumbo.

Our 4th or 5th time on the carousel, I lost track . . .

The crazy people that agreed to go with us (crazy because they went with US).

Anya to me after riding the magic carpet 3 times (3pm): "The magic carpet is kind of like Dumbo, isn't it?" Me: "Yes, almost exactly."

(6pm) Mickey or Minnie must have told Anya something very convincing because after this, she wanted to go on Dumbo. We barely made it, since we were kicked out of the park at 7 because we didn't have Christmas Party tickets (because as you know, we are cheap).

So here we come sand and sun . . . so long Disney World!
