Sometimes January is not the most exciting month. This year that has not been the case. A baptism, visitors, a little skiing, lots of games of chicken hunt (if you haven't played, come by), mild temperatures and good health has made it be a great month.

Snow!
The anticipation (and fear from our 9 hour traffic snowjam last January) of snow has been building for several months. Right before Christmas, Anya said, "Mom, you lied. It doesn't snow in Utah at all and it isn't that cold."
Christmas day we woke to a fresh, white blanket of snow. A white Christmas! Everyone was giddy to shovel, eat the snow, try out the new sled and make a snowman. However, after the snow became dirty, the girls asked what those brown chunks of ice were in parking lots. Gross! They said. The second time it snowed, everyone was already over it. No one wanted to shovel. I wasn't as anxious to take 30 minutes bundling everyone up. :) And one of the girls asked, "when is it going to be summer again?" But, we are coming to grips with winter. We may as well enjoy it because it isn't going anywhere for awhile.
