Austria to Anya: "I wish we had more parents."
Anya: "Yes. Me too."
Austria: "We could have one Dad to go to work, one Dad to walk around with Washington, one Mom to do all the laundry and cook, and one Mom to hold Olympia."
Anya: "Yes, and maybe we need one more to be with us!"
Austria: "I don't know why we only have two parents."
Anya: "I do." Of course. "Because Heavenly Father wants to challenge us with just two parents and see if we can do it."

Bedtime Nail Painting
This is what happens when your 2 year old child sneaks fingernail polish into bed (at least that is what John said:).
She actually didn't do a bad job considering. The sheets and her pillowcase suffered a bit however.

Happenings
I just broke my broom trying to kill a giant cockroach. And the roach just ran away like nothing happened.
Anya: "I want to win a trophy."
John: "Well you have to work hard at something, like spelling and win a Spelling Bee."
Anya: "I prefer to do Spelling A's." (She just had her first spelling test last Friday and was so worried because she can't stand to get less than 100%. Perfectionist. My parents are laughing really hard right now.)
One of my children has trouble falling asleep at night. Okay 3 of them do. But one of them can't seem to turn her mind off and doesn't fall asleep until my bedtime! I've been doing some research because it is very odd to me to not be able to fall asleep immediately. One time I fell asleep on a stranger's shoulder on the bus ride from the ski resort back home. But back to the issue at hand. The following I found on a website I check sometimes for basic info: "There's a price to pay for sleep problems in children. In a revealing study at Northwestern University Medical Center, scientists followed the sleep patterns of 510 kids between 2 and 5 years old. The study showed that less sleep at night means more behavioral problems during the day." Boy, I hope they didn't spend too much on that study.
Traveling back from a nearby park at 5pm on a weekday, Austria commented: "There is too much traffic! They should not allow traffic anywhere in the whole world!" Amen.
