Our computer is busted. We have to buy a new one. Uncle Mark saved us and helped us extract what we wanted. We are so glad! But, alas, this post will have to picture-less. So I'll share a story about being busted.
Our last day driving back from Canada we were in the middle of nowhere Indiana. John was driving. It was Sunday, traffic was light. We are with the three kids in a red minivan. A cop car is ahead. No one dares to pass him. He is going 75 in a 70. John is bored, after all the man has done most of the driving. As he approaches the rear of this good Indiana Sheriff, he says aloud something to the effect of: "What do you think he will do if I pass him? Someone has to do it. I have to find out." So he slowly passes the Sheriff going 76. A couple seconds later, flashing lights/siren. John pulls over.
The skinny,17 year old looking Sheriff says, "You were speeding. I need to see your registration and your license." We are laughing, seriously, 76 in a 70??? John is talking about how he will drive back up here to fight this in court. I'm rolling my eyes. John is saying it is the principle of the matter! Then the Sheriff comes back. "I'm going to give you a warning. But NEVER pass a marked car. I'm the only guy in the WORLD who would give you a warning, everyone else would give you a ticket."

Who's the Boss?
Austria: "Stop being bossy."
Anya: "I'm not being bossy. I'll tell you when I'm being bossy."
Anya: "When can I be a parent so I can tell everyone what to do?"
Anya: "You are bossy Mom. You never let us choose. You always say, 'Clean up your toys'."
Me: "What should moms do when their kids don't clean up their toys then?"
Anya: "Clean it up themselves."
Me: "But what if the moms don't get the toys out?"
Anya: "Well, they should let the kids choose to clean it up or not."
Me (hoping she will have some consequence): "What if the kids choose not to clean them up?"
Anya: "Well then, the moms should just leave it a mess." Not the consequence I was hoping for . . .

Beach
Now that are kids are professionals at long car rides, we decided to go the beach. In one day. Luckily we live relatively close :). 4 hour drive there early in the morning, swim until we are sunburned, 4 hour drive home. I'd say that is a good day!
