For those who care to know how the above scores were calculated, the following formula was used:
(10 points (if gender guess was a girl) + ...
(20 points - (absolute number of days between day guess and Tuesday, August 26th) x2)+...
(30 points - ((absolute number of minutes between time guess and 22:24 (with wrap around))/720) x30)+...
(20 points - ((absolute number of ounces between weight guess and 95 ounces)/32)x20)+...
(20 points - ((absolute number of inches between length guess and 18.5 inches)/2)x20)+...
+ any bonus points
The "time" was a big boost for Cathy who guessed 10:53pm, and made up for the fact that she, too, guessed a boy like most of us. Cathy also guessed the exact length and was the closest to the actual weight (Her guess was 6 lbs 2 ounces.)
On the other end, Grandma Salmon and Austria's very own dad finished dead last. Hopefully, he'll be able to predict her actions a little better 14 years down the road, or he'll be in big trouble...
