Unfinished Business

While in beautiful Jamaica, we noted the unfinished buildings scattered around the island. Sometimes occupied, sometimes deserted. We even pulled up to our guesthouse one evening, wondering if we had the right place. (And yes, we really did stay here, we were the only ones though . . . but it was quiet! The bottom floor was finished. We did have the coldest showers of our lives.)

This is the view from the street of the resort we stayed at. (I guess an all-inclusive resort wouldn't be considered all-inclusive without some kind of unfinished structure.)

I told John this would NEVER happen in America! Well, I always have to eat my words when I get cocky. Our apartment was stripped of its siding quite awhile ago (going on three weeks), with no sign that it will be re-sided . . . the men who once were busy ripping off siding and putting new siding back on have disappeared off of our apartment complex property.

Here are a few pictures of some of Anya's unfinished business. We think she is trying to do a somersault because in a few days she will be visiting another little girl--younger than her--who can do somersaults! But she can't get over her big head!

She looks really cute and innocent here, like she's just posing, but she's not really. She is standing on a chair, next to the wall, waiting for me to go in the kitchen so she can turn off the lights. Then she starts to say "can't see, can't see!" mocking her mother :)

Anya is like her father and ALWAYS finishes whatever food is given to her. However, she did have some left-over dip and decided to put it to good use. She didn't get to finish, because her mean parents put her in the bathtub after some photo's and video were taken.
