Mmmmm.... The Warm Sweet Taste of Warmth

This is too good.

I just checked the weather, and according to the Weather Network, it is currently (2:59pm EDT, May 21, 2007) SNOWING in Calgary! What joy fills my heart to know I am missing that! That is one reason I left. Snow just doesn't belong in May... anywhere. Perhaps humans were never designed to live above the 40th parallel (temporary trips to Alaska in July... maybe).

On the other hand, earlier today I was outside with my wife playing tennis under a cloudless sky. The temperature: 29 degrees Celsius (84 degrees Fahrenheit). We were concerned about getting sun burned while others many miles from Atlanta were trying to find the snowshoes that were prematurely packed away for the year. (And remember some of them still have to live through June before the spring season starts!!!)

Anyway, our biggest choice was whether to go swim in the pool in the morning or the afternoon... But then we thought, that's so silly of us - let's do both! (Yes, we will miss out on the ice skating... ;)

But I digress...

The next day in New York brought us to Grand Central Station,
(I believe the man flapping his arms in the bottom right corner actually left the ground...)

the Chrysler building,
(Picture of ceiling in front lobby)

some foliage eating a building,
the UN building,
(the flags are down because they thought is what going to rain... it actually did later... I was a little disappointed - you would understand if you came to my booth on science day when I was in grade 6...)

and most importantly, John Jay Park, named after my brother and me!
(Jay and I look a little beat from walking across Manhattan Island at this point in the day, but the smiling princess in the middle has yet to take one step!)

Wherever you are, enjoy your day! (I know we are!)
